We are currently seeking a sales engineer based in our Colorado Springs branch office.
In this role, you will be responsible for technical phone, web and field support of our VoSKY Skype products. The primary focus is in the area of post-sales technical assistance with our customers and liaison to our development teams from qualification of open cases to closing loop on known software/firmware/hardware issues, supporting all VoSKY Skype products. Technically, you must be able to identify, debug and resolve all technical issues and work closely with the engineering and field application teams to identify/understand issues and drive customer post sales problems and enhancement requests to closure.
You will serve as the primary customer technical interface for our customer technical support process at a tier 3 level and therefore must have strong communications skills, being able to effectively interface and provide primary communication between the customer and the sales/business and development teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible as VoSKY, Skype, Telecomm, VoIP and Network (Subject Matter Expert)
Understand the technology issues, especially those related to Telephone Switch(TDM/IP PBX), SKYPE, VoIP, Networking, and Telecom Industry.
Participate in sales presentations over web and in front of customers.
Must be able put together technical design and proposals for customers, assist in RFI/RFP
Will conduct remote/onsite customer installations for VoSKY direct deals
Digital voice specifically US T1 ISDN, channel banks, CSU/DSU configurations.
Strong knowledge of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) configurations and troubleshooting.
Physical layer media such as telecom wiring methods specifically related to PBX connections both analog and digital (T1).
Working knowledge of International Telecom Voice/ Data systems and practices.
Strong knowledge of IP networks, firewalls, LAN/WAN configurations.
Strong Windows knowledge and a working knowledge of Unix/Linux (Ubuntu) environments.
Able to define problems and work with engineers through resolution.
Understand and explain product software and hardware.
Work and communicate effectively with the departmental team
Perform related work as assigned by supervisor
REQUIREMENTS
BSEE, BSCE or BSCS from accredited university
8+ years in engineering / Sales Engineering
Excellent English communication and presentation skills required .
Relevant product knowledge and experience
Extensive knowledge of VoIP gateways and PBXs
Previous success as FAE supporting Interconnect or Telecom Manufacturer.
5+ years experience in support of Interconnect accounts with a proven track record of technical assistance towards achieving sales goals and objectives.
